About the role:

We are seeking an experienced ICT / Network Architect to lead the architecture, design, implementation, and delivery of complex enterprise network and infrastructure solutions.You will work closely with customers and technical teams to define network architecture, develop high-level and low-level designs, and provide technical leadership across large-scale network transformation, data centre, cloud connectivity, security, and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise network solutions across campus, data centre, WAN, cloud, and security environments.
• Design and implement technologies including:
  • Cisco Routing & Switching
  • Cisco Nexus and Data Centre Networking
  • Cisco ACI
  • Aruba / HPE Networking
  • SD-WAN
  • LAN / WAN / WLAN
  • Load Balancing
  • Network Security and Firewalls
  • Cloud Networking
  • VPN and Remote Access
  • DNS, DHCP and IPAM
• Develop High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Network Design Documents (NDD), implementation plans, migration plans, and as-built documentation.
• Design highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise network architectures.
• Lead network transformation, hardware refresh, data centre migration, network consolidation, and technology lifecycle programs.
• Design and troubleshoot routing technologies and protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VRF, VXLAN and EVPN.
• Design network segmentation, VLAN, VRF, routing, firewall, and security-zone architectures.
• Integrate enterprise networks with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud platforms, including private connectivity and hybrid-cloud solutions.
• Work with cybersecurity teams on firewall architecture, network segmentation, Zero Trust, NAC, and secure network access.
• Develop network automation using Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Perform architecture reviews, network assessments, capacity planning, health checks, technology upgrades, and infrastructure optimisation.
• Lead technical workshops with customers and translate business and technical requirements into practical architecture solutions.
• Provide technical leadership during implementation, migration, testing, and production cutover activities.
• Troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues and provide technical guidance to engineering and operations teams.
• Mentor network engineers and support knowledge-transfer activities.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, vendor best practices, and industry standards.

Key requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure, or related ICT technologies.
• 5+ years of experience in Network Architecture / Solution Architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise and service-provider networking technologies.
• Strong knowledge of:

  • Aruba / HPE Networking
  • LAN / WAN / WLAN
  • SD-WAN
  • BGP and OSPF

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, VPNs, certificates, and network security.
• Experience designing highly available and resilient enterprise network environments.
• Experience with data centre migrations, network refresh programs, and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS networking, hybrid-cloud connectivity, ExpressRoute or Direct Connect.
• Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, APIs, or Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate architecture and technical concepts to customers, engineers, project managers, and senior stakeholders.
