About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise-scale Splunk Security Operations platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing secure, scalable, and high-performing SIEM solutions, integrating multiple security technologies, and enabling advanced threat detection, security monitoring, and incident response capabilities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) solutions.
  • Architect and optimise SIEM platforms to deliver high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Develop and implement security use cases, correlation searches, dashboards, and Risk-Based Alerting (RBA).
  • Lead the onboarding of applications and security devices into Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), including log source integration, data parsing, field extraction, CIM compliance, validation, and optimisation for effective security monitoring.
  • Produce architecture designs, implementation documentation, operational runbooks, and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with technology partners, vendors, architects, technology and product teams to build innovative customer experiences.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best practice guidance to engineers, consultants, and project teams.
  • Engage with customers to gather requirements, lead technical workshops, and deliver secure, innovative security monitoring solutions.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES).
  • Experience onboarding applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms into Splunk ES.
  • Knowledge of Splunk CIM, correlation searches, dashboards, and Risk-Based Alerting (RBA).
  • Experience integrating Splunk with security tools such as EDR, firewalls, IAM, and SOAR.
  • Splunk Certified Architect or Splunk ES certification is highly desirable.
